Connect Your Social Media Accounts
Link your social media accounts so Brand Brain can publish content directly. Each platform uses secure OAuth authorization - we never see your passwords.
Where to Find Platform Connections
Navigate to Settings
Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar to open the account menu, then select Platform Connections. You can also navigate directly to /settings/connections in your browser.

Tip: Platforms marked "Coming Soon" are in development. Available platforms show a green Connect button ready for authorization.
How to Connect Your Accounts
Connecting takes less than a minute per platform. Brand Brain uses OAuth so your login credentials stay private.
Click Connect
Open Settings > Platform Connections and click 'Connect' on the platform you want. You'll be redirected to that platform's own login page.
Authorize Access
Sign in on the platform (if not already) and grant Brand Brain permission to publish on your behalf. We only request the permissions listed on each card.
Start Publishing
You're redirected back to Brand Brain with a green 'Active' badge. Content can now be scheduled and published to that account automatically.

Understanding Connection Status
Each connected account displays a real-time status badge. Here's what each one means and what action to take.
Active
Your account is connected and tokens are valid. Content can be published and scheduled normally.
Token Expired
Your access token has expired. Click 'Reconnect' to refresh your authorization. No data is lost when you reconnect.
Invalid / Disconnected
The connection is broken or has been revoked from the platform's side. You'll need to reconnect by authorizing again.
Managing Your Connections
Once connected, you have full control over your linked social media accounts.
Reconnect
Refresh an expired or broken token without losing your account settings. Your scheduled content and history are preserved.
Disconnect
Remove the connection entirely. Brand Brain deletes the stored access token immediately. Reconnect any time.
Revoke from Platform
You can also revoke Brand Brain's access from the platform's own settings (e.g. LinkedIn > Settings > Authorized Apps).
Security and Privacy
Your account security is our priority. Here's how Brand Brain keeps your social media credentials safe.
OAuth Standard
We use the same OAuth protocol trusted by Google, Meta, and Microsoft. Your password is never shared with Brand Brain.
Minimal Permissions
We only request the permissions needed to publish content and read your profile. No access to your DMs, followers, or private data.
Instant Revocation
Disconnect any time from Brand Brain or from the platform's own settings. Tokens are deleted immediately upon disconnection.
Instagram Connection: Invite-Only During App Review
While our Instagram integration is completing Meta's app review, access is invite-only. Click Request Access on the Instagram card, enter your handle, and we'll send you an invitation once your account is added as a tester. After you approve the invite inside Instagram's "Apps and Websites" settings, come back and click Connect to finish the setup.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about connecting and managing your social media accounts in Brand Brain.
How do I connect my social media accounts to Brand Brain?
Go to Settings > Platform Connections (or navigate to /settings/connections). Click 'Connect' on the platform you want, sign in on that platform's page, and grant Brand Brain permission to publish on your behalf.
I authorized but the connection shows as invalid
Try disconnecting and reconnecting. If the issue persists, check that your account hasn't restricted third-party app access in its security settings.
Why does my social media token keep expiring?
Each platform sets its own token lifespan as a security measure. LinkedIn and Instagram tokens last about 60 days. X (Twitter) tokens refresh automatically. Click Reconnect to get a fresh token when one expires.
I don't see my username after connecting
The page refreshes automatically after a successful connection. If your username doesn't appear, try refreshing the page manually or clearing your browser cache.
Can I connect multiple accounts per platform?
Currently, Brand Brain supports one account per platform per workspace. Disconnect the existing one before connecting a different account.
Is it safe to connect my social media accounts?
Yes. Brand Brain uses OAuth, the same secure authorization standard used by Google, Meta, and other major platforms. We never see or store your passwords. You can revoke access at any time from the platform's settings.
How do I disconnect or remove a social media account?
Click the 'Disconnect' button on the platform card in Settings > Platform Connections. Brand Brain deletes the stored token immediately. You can also revoke access from the platform's own authorized apps settings.
Why does Instagram say invite-only?
Our Instagram integration is completing Meta's app review process. During this period, we can only add accounts as testers. Request access and we'll invite your account within 24 hours.
