Higgsfield MCP is a Model Context Protocol server that lets Claude (and other MCP-compatible agents) generate images up to 4K and video up to 15 seconds without leaving the chat. Marketers wire it once, then prompt Claude to produce on-brand assets in line with the rest of the workflow.
Pair this guide with the cluster spoke What Is Model Context Protocol if MCP itself is new to you. For the broader Claude-for-marketers context, the parent reference is Claude Cowork for Marketing Teams.
What Higgsfield MCP Is
Higgsfield publishes its MCP offering as "an open standard that gives AI agents access to external tools." Practically that means: an MCP server hosted at https://mcp.higgsfield.ai exposes the Higgsfield image and video models as callable tools. Any MCP client can register the server, authenticate, and call the tools.
Higgsfield names the supported clients explicitly: Claude on web, Claude Cowork on desktop, Claude Code in the terminal, plus OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, NemoClaw, and any other MCP-compatible client. Marketers running on Claude get the tightest integration because Anthropic ships custom-connector support across all surfaces.
Up to 4K. Soul, Flux, Seedream, Nano Banana, and other models.
Up to 15 seconds. Seedance, Kling, Veo for cinematic clips.
Soul Characters for trained references, asset management, multi-model comparison.
Why Marketers Care
The 2026 social marketer holds a context window in Claude that already contains brand voice, content calendar, ICP doc, and product catalog. The block that broke the workflow until recently was visual generation. Switching tabs to MidJourney, Ideogram, or a video tool meant rebuilding the brand context every session and copying assets back manually.
Higgsfield MCP closes that loop. Claude already understands the brand context from the conversation. The MCP server lets Claude call the visual model directly with that context attached. The marketer prompts Claude in plain language and the asset returns in the same chat thread, ready to drop into a post draft or ad creative review.
The compounding gain is brand consistency. Soul Characters trained once on the product hero, plus a brand-color anchor in the system prompt, plus Claude as the orchestrator, produces an ad set where every image obeys the same brand rules. Manual generation produces drift; pipeline generation produces consistency.
Step-By-Step Setup with Claude
Open Claude settings and add a custom connector
Sign in at claude.ai, go to Settings, then Connectors, then click Add custom connector. Higgsfield is listed as an MCP server but the connector is registered as a custom connector on the Claude side.
Register the Higgsfield MCP endpoint
Name the connector "Higgsfield". Set the URL to https://mcp.higgsfield.ai. Save and click Connect. Claude opens an authentication flow against your Higgsfield account.
Authenticate with your Higgsfield account
Sign in to higgsfield.ai when prompted. Claude receives an OAuth-style token and the Higgsfield tools become available in the Claude tool list. The connector also carries through to Claude Cowork on desktop and Claude Code in the terminal.
Trigger a first test generation
Prompt Claude with something like: generate a 1080 by 1350 hero image using Soul Characters reference X with a soft warm key light and a deep navy background. Claude calls the Higgsfield image tool, returns the asset, and you confirm the credit deduction inside higgsfield.ai.
Save the brand prompt template
Store the brand color palette, lighting rules, character references, aspect ratios, and negative prompts in a reusable prompt block. Call it from every Claude session that touches Higgsfield. Brand Brain holds the same brand voice profile and product catalog so the prompt block stays consistent across the team.
The MCP connector authenticates once per Claude account and persists across web, desktop Cowork, and Claude Code. You do not repeat the setup per surface.
Brand-Consistent Prompt Patterns
Six prompt patterns that hold brand voice across generations. Build them into a single reusable prompt block and call it from every Claude session that touches Higgsfield.
Brand-color anchor
Name your hex codes verbatim in the prompt. "Use brand palette: #4A2A1F primary, #E8DCC8 background, #B45A3C accent. No off-palette saturation." Higgsfield models honor explicit color codes more reliably than mood words alone.
Soul Characters product anchor
Train a Soul Character on the product hero image first, then prompt Claude to call that character every generation. The product silhouette and label stay consistent across an ad set instead of drifting per image.
Aspect ratio pinned to platform
Prompt explicit dimensions: 1080x1080 for Instagram feed, 1080x1350 for portrait Instagram, 1080x1920 for Reels and Stories, 1200x628 for LinkedIn link cards, 1500x500 for X header. Models default to square if you omit the ratio.
Negative prompts for off-brand drift
List the elements that must not appear. "No stock-photo office settings, no generic smiling models, no overly saturated AI gradients, no text inside the image." Negative prompts cut iteration cycles in half.
Lighting and mood rules
Carry your visual style guide forward as adjectives. Soft warm key light, low-key contrast, editorial composition, off-center subject. Models match the description when it is consistent across calls.
Multi-model comparison loop
Prompt Claude to generate the same shot through Soul, Nano Banana, and Seedream and present the three side by side. Pick the winner before scaling. Costs three credits per shot but saves rework on the chosen ad set.
Where Brand Brain Fits
Higgsfield generates the asset. Claude orchestrates the prompt logic. Brand Brain is the layer above that holds the brand voice profile, the product catalog the assistants pull from, and the content review queue and publishing layer for LinkedIn, X, Threads, and Instagram.
The honest framing: Brand Brain is not a visual generation tool. It does not replace Higgsfield. It also does not replace Claude. It feeds both with consistent brand context and takes the finished assets through review and scheduled publishing across the four social surfaces it supports natively.
Image and video generation. Soul Characters for identity. Credit-billed per generation.
Prompt orchestration. Calls the MCP tools. Applies the brand context inside the chat thread.
Brand voice profile, product catalog, content review queue, and publishing to LinkedIn, X, Threads, Instagram.
Brand Brain Starter is $29 per month with 10,000 AI credits and Creator is $99 per month with 30,000 AI credits and a 10 percent top-up bonus. The trial is 7 days with $1 in starter credits and a card required at signup. Use the trial to wire Higgsfield through Claude, store the brand voice and product catalog in Brand Brain, and run an end-to-end social post generation with publishing.
Common Pitfalls
Generating without Soul Characters
Faces and product shapes drift across generations within minutes. Train a character reference set first, then call it on every generation that needs identity continuity.
Vague brand prompts that produce generic AI aesthetic
Prompts like "modern, clean, professional" return the same look every other AI image returns. Anchor with hex codes, named references, and explicit composition rules.
Skipping negative prompts
Models pick the most common interpretation of the prompt. If you do not say "no text inside the image," half the generations will have text on them.
Wrong aspect ratio for destination
A 1024x1024 image looks fine in chat but crops badly when pushed to LinkedIn or X. Pin the ratio to the publishing surface.
Forgetting the credit ledger
Higgsfield bills per generation. A 30-iteration loop can spend a serious credit chunk before anyone notices. Set a generation cap per session and check the credit balance in higgsfield.ai daily.
