Claude Cowork Pricing Explained
Cowork does not have its own price tag. It rides inside the paid Claude plans. Here is what each tier costs, what you actually get, and how the math works for a marketing team.

Which tier should a marketer pick?
Solo marketer or content lead. Start on Pro at $17 per month annual. It includes Cowork and Code, the chat usage caps are workable for most weekly task patterns, and you can always upgrade to Max if your scheduled tasks start to push the cap.
Marketing team of three to ten. Team at $20 per seat per month is the right call. Centralized billing, SSO, and admin controls matter once more than one person is touching the same Claude account. Each seat gets its own Cowork.
Power user with daily scheduled tasks. Max from $100 per month is the upgrade when one person needs the higher capacity tiers (5x or 20x Pro). Daily Cowork runs, large file ops, and big document generation chew through Pro caps.
Enterprise marketing org. Enterprise at $20 per seat plus API usage adds the compliance layer (HIPAA-ready, SCIM, audit logs). The seat math is the same as Team, but the security and procurement story is the reason to step up.

The marketing-team math
Cowork at $17 per month is cheaper than Brand Brain Starter at $29 per month. That comparison is misleading.
Cowork is a generalist autonomous worker. It does not connect to LinkedIn, X, Threads, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. It does not learn brand voice from your library. It does not give you a content review queue or a content calendar. To get those, a marketer using only Cowork builds them from scratch, plugs them into other tools, or accepts the gaps.
Brand Brain Starter ships those pieces preassembled. The 30 plus AI agents inside Brand Brain are tuned for the specific shape of a marketing week: trend scans, voice-trained drafts, content briefs, multi-platform repurposing, scheduled posting, and performance pulls.
Most marketing teams in 2026 pay for both. Cowork at Pro or Team for research and document work. Brand Brain at Starter, Creator, or Agency for the social workflow. The combined cost is still well below the $5,000 to $15,000 a month a comparable in-house production team would cost.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Claude Cowork cost?
Claude Cowork is included in the Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans on claude.com. Pro starts at $17 per month on annual billing or $20 on monthly. Max starts at $100 per month. Team is $20 per seat per month on annual billing or $25 on monthly. Enterprise is $20 per seat plus API usage. The Free plan does not include Cowork.
Is Claude Cowork free?
No. Cowork is not part of the Free plan. The minimum way to get Cowork is the Pro plan at $17 per month on annual billing. There is no separate free tier or trial of Cowork on its own. You get it bundled inside any paid Claude plan.
Which Claude plan is best for a marketing team?
For a single marketer, Pro at $17 per month on annual billing is the right starting point. For a marketing team of three or more people who want centralized billing and SSO, Team at $20 per seat per month is the better fit. Larger orgs that need audit logs, SCIM, or HIPAA-ready compliance go to Enterprise at $20 per seat plus usage.
Does Claude Cowork have usage limits?
Yes. Each plan has a usage cap, expressed as relative capacity. Max ships in two tiers, 5x and 20x more capacity than Pro. Heavy Cowork use, especially long scheduled tasks, file ops, and document generation, can push a single Pro account near its cap. Marketing teams running daily Cowork tasks usually need Max or Team.
How does Claude Cowork pricing compare to Brand Brain?
Brand Brain Starter is $29 per month, Creator is $99 per month, and Agency is $499 per month. Cowork on Pro is cheaper at $17 per month, but it is a generalist autonomous worker. Brand Brain ships with social platform connections, brand voice training, content review queues, and scheduling already wired. Most teams pay for both: Cowork for research and docs, Brand Brain for the social workflow.
Can I get a refund on Claude Pro or Team?
